HoloHabits NUTRITION PANEL instructions

Thank you for purchasing the Holohabits Biomarker Test Kit.

Before proceeding with the Holohabits test, please read these instructions carefully.

The test must be performed in a fasted state, first thing in the morning. To ensure a smooth process, carefully review these instructions and prepare everything the evening before. This preparation allows you to focus on completing the tests efficiently the next morning, without needing to interpret details when you’ve just woken up.

As a precaution, take a photo of the contents of the test kit before starting. This provides a helpful reference in the unlikely event that any items are missing.

Account Setup & Sample Registration

  1. Create an account at results.biostarks.com
  2. Enter the identification code from the package - Ensure the ID matches exactly on the registration screen

Before Starting

  • Setup your account!! (You cant skip this step)
  • Fast for at least 8 hours before the test
  • Make sure you are well-hydrated the day before!! This is important for the blood viscosity
  • Take the test first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking (water is okay)
  • We recommend you to have your kit already registered before taking the test

! WARNING: Only open the aluminium foil pouch containing the collection device after reading the instructions and when you are prepared to take the test in the morning.

Sample Collection: Morning

Prepare by laying out all kit items on a clean, dry surface.

  • Collect blood sample according to the kit instructions:

    • Step 1: Get ready for collection by washing your hands with soap and warm water for 1-2 minutes to improve blood flow. Your hands MUST be warm enough. Disinfect your finger with the provided alcohol pad then proceed to the collection step.
    • Step 2: Prick the side of the ring finger on your non-dominant hand.
    • Step 3: Wipe away the first drop of blood with the provided gauze pad, and let the next drop fall onto the colelction device (DO NOT squeeze/press the finger too hard during the colection - as that will result in damaged blood cells and sample won’t be analysed)
    • Step 4: If needed, gently massage your finger from base to tip to encourage blood flow.
    • Step 5: Without touching its surface, let 4 - 5 drops of blood fall on the center of the HemaSpot to receive accurate test results (see picture below)

    NOTE: It’s extremely IMPORTANT you get this part right - and there is enough blood for analysis, however sample should NOT be overloaded

  • Important: Wait for 2min before closing the HemaSpot, and after you’ve closed it- let it rest for 15min on a flat surface - do not move sample upside down.

Printing label & Shipping

  1. Pack the sample in the matallic bag, close it with a tape and proceed to print the shipping label. You can put the metallic bag with the collection device inside the test kit box (included), or alternatively you can use any paper envelope (not included).
  2. Login to the Biostarks website, and go to “Shipping instructions”
  3. Pick your region & follow the next steps closely
  4. Print the shipping label & attach to the envelope with tape.
  5. Pick a UPS dropoff point nearby
  6. Drop the envelope with attached label

Important Notes

  • Sample Validity: Send samples with no delay, the lab will reject the samples if they are delivered after 14 days
  • Replacement Cost per 1 kit: 85€ + VAT + shipping in case if kit is rejected by lab

Warning: Make sure you follow the instructions very carefully. If the test is done incorrectly or rejected by the lab for any reason, it's not eligible for a refund. You can get a replacement kit for an extra fee.
